This is a high quality LED bulb that replaces a 230v incandencent, halogen mercury or sodium vapour bulb and uses up to 10 times less electricity than it's retrofit alternative. They are available in 27mm and 40mm edison screw.
The 15w option of this bulb closely replicates the light of a 180w incandescent or a 150w halogen whereas the 25w more closely replicates a 80w CFL, 70 mercury vapour or 70w sodium vapour.
Thse bulbs use multiple Samsung 5630 SMD LED chips and translucent lens covers to give an even light spread throughout it's 270deg beam angle. They make great replacements for street & flood lights.
The life expectancy of this globe is 50000 hours with a calculated light degradation of less than 20% over this period.
